Core Functions

    • Provision of macroeconomic and real sector policy analysis services.
    • Coordination of regional and international economic integration programmes.
    • Management and administration of Economic Common Service.
    • Coordination of government-wide monitoring and evaluation of economic and development projects, programmes, policies, and strategies.
    • Coordination of vulnerability assessment including food security for humanitarian response planning, resilience building, and implementation of long-term development initiatives.
    • Management of the Public Sector Investment Program (PSIP).
    • Provision of professional advice and information for the formulation and implementation of development-related policies.
    • Provision of policy guidance to relevant stakeholders and coordination of the overall design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of poverty reduction and social protection programmes.
